myGDPR Service wins the TIVI magazine test on GDPR tools
Citrus Solutions myGDPR Data Protection Service Rated Best in the Field
Citrus Solutions is the mastermind behind the myGDPR service that assists diverse organizations to manage the complex requirements of the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The company's myGDPR service was evaluated as best in the field by Tivi magazine, Finland.
– The EU Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), will come into effect in just over a month, on May 25th. “Now, businesses and organizations are in a hurry to ensure that their data is up-to-date with the upcoming regulation, says Mr. Tommi Tiainen, Sales Director at Citrus Solutions.
In the Tivi magazine test of the April 2018 edition, Citrus Solutions’ Data Protection Service myGDPR was selected as the leading service in the field, obtaining the top score: 4/5 stars.
The test praised the service's contribution to the social and health operators, who must process and transmit highly sensitive information. In addition, the automated document creation functionality was also praised.
As the domestic front runner on the Data Protection, Citrus Solutions started their project on the EU data protection directive in good time.
– A detailed data protection management review and drafting began in our company already as early as 2015, in the wake of the EU data protection directive project. In early 2017, myGDPR had already won its first pilot customers, recalls Mr. Tiainen.
The framework for the development was inspired and guided by smooth user experience from the very beginning.
– Our goal was to decode complex legislation into easily comprehensible entities, and to create a service that produces the required documentation and summarizes the progress on the Data Accountability Report.
Our service slices the data protection down into three easy-to-understand sub-divisions: accountability and obligation to notify; personal information (i.e. data subject’s rights and personal information of children); and information management and data protection obligations.
Citrus acknowledged early in the development work that the service also has international potential. Currently, myGDPR is available in five languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, German and Danish. The company has also received Business Finland’s export promotion grant.
– It may be that we will soon see a demand for new additions on our language offering, Mr. Tiainen tips as the future.
